Hugh is an accomplished multimedia producer, with over ten years’ experience working in the development and humanitarian sector. Hugh has a track record of delivering high-impact, engaging visual and written content for various storytelling and digital platforms, with extensive experience in all aspects of film production, from shooting through to scriptwriting and editing. Hugh has worked in over 20 countries around the world including conflict and post-conflict environments, including Eritrea, South Sudan and Timor-Leste.
Hugh is currently based in East Africa where he has consulted for the World Food Programme, Catholic Relief Services, Finn Church Aid, Goal Uganda.
Hugh’s photography work has featured in international publications and prestigious photographic competitions, such as Australia’s Moran (semi-finalist) and Head-On portrait prizes (semi-finalist). His short film “Chiuso ” was a Tropfest finalist in 2005.
Hugh is based in Kampala, Uganda and is available for photo- and video journalism assignments, film production stills and commissions.
